Siemens Introduces Vandal-resistant Dome Camera Based on Pixim’s Digital Pixel System® Technology
The newest vandal-resistant dome camera from Siemens has a die-cast, heavy-duty aluminum housing, with a high-impact polycarbonate bubble that can withstand an accidental or deliberate blow of up to 1000 kg. The CVWC1325-LX is designed for outdoor use in all weather conditions.
Through Pixim’s Digital Pixel System technology, the CVWC1325-LX captures outstanding video under extreme lighting conditions. Every pixel in the image sensor acts as an independent camera ensuring all pixels receive exactly the right amount of light and enhance the total image to deliver optimum quality. This capability makes the Siemens dome the ideal choice for security applications in bank foyers, lobbies, schools, and car parks.
In addition, Pixim’s all-digital technology produces clean video output which enables more highly compressed images with lower bit rates and smaller file sizes – which means the images are more economical to store. Security system operators gain cost savings as well as tremendous flexibility in how they can use that additional space to achieve optimum benefit from their security system. For instance, they can store additional hours of video per camera and use smaller, less-expensive hard drives and backup systems.
The CVWC1325-LX is available through Siemens Building Technologies. Other features include:
- 32 bit Digital Pixel System technology
- 120dB dynamic range (max)
- Remote switchable BLC
- Full 3-axis adjustment for wall and ceiling mounting
- 0.6 Lux sensitivity
- True Day Night technology
- RS485 or coaxial remote OSD setup camera parameter setup
