PIXIM APPOINTS CHRIS ADAMS AS NEW CEO
Executive Management Team Expands with New Vice President of Sales
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.—October 29, 2007—Pixim Inc., a leading provider of chipsets and software for enterprise security cameras, has named Chris Adams as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO) and has created a dedicated position of vice president of worldwide sales, hiring Todd Rumaner for this new position. John Monti, formerly vice president of sales and marketing, will concentrate on expanding Pixim's market opportunities as vice president of marketing and business development.
These executive management changes are designed to enable Pixim, a semiconductor company whose innovative imaging solutions are advancing the state of the art in security cameras, to manage its rapid growth and strengthen its market leadership position.

Joe Montalbo, former CEO and board member will be staying on with the company to consult during the transition.
Chris Adams brings a strong track record of company leadership

Chris Adams has spent his career in the business of semiconductors for cable, satellite and terrestrial delivery of digital video and data. He joins Pixim from Tallwood Venture Capital, one of Pixim's investors, where he was an Executive-in-Residence. During his tenure at Tallwood, Adams was instrumental in driving the strategic plans for several portfolio companies and was the interim COO at Inphi, an IC company known for delivering the best signal integrity for processing high-speed digital data in computing and communications systems.
Before Tallwood, Adams was vice president and general manager for the set-top box and cable modem business at LSI Logic. During that time, Adams played a key role in integrating C-Cube's set-top business into LSI. Prior to working at LSI, Adams spent five years at C-Cube Microsystems, as an executive in both marketing and engineering, building the set-top box business. Earlier, Adams was director of engineering at DiviCom and was involved in pioneering work on video servers and HDTV at HP.
Adams holds a bachelor's degree in the sciences from the University of British Columbia and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He was the chairman of the DSMCC subcommittee of MPEG and holds many patents in the digital video and signal processing field.
Todd Rumaner -- an experienced sales professional
Todd Rumaner is an 18-year sales and marketing veteran, with experience in technologies related to digital imaging, database management systems, banking and 3D semiconductor packaging and memory subsystems.
Prior to Pixim, Rumaner was vice president of worldwide sales at Staktek, responsible for the planning, development and rollout of an international sales team for the DRAM and FLASH markets. He was instrumental in executing the company's expansion into the international consumer electronics market, serving NAND FLASH manufacturers.
Before Staktek, Rumaner was chief operating officer at ArcSoft Inc., a digital imaging and video-related solutions company, where he was responsible for sales, marketing and execution of corporate strategies. As one of the first employees, he helped build the company into a 300-employee organization with offices in the U.S., China, Europe, Japan and Taiwan. Earlier in his career, Rumaner managed sales at ElektroGrafiks, a value-added reseller for advanced cable TV and high-end imaging systems.
Rumaner attended Northeastern University and is a member of the Photographic Manufacturers and Distributors Association. He has participated as a panelist in numerous industry trade shows and roundtable discussions.
