CIEFFE
adds CamPX composite security camera to their existing Pixim-Enabled IP
camera offerings to deliver the best image quality
Pixim's Orca chipset is a key component in CIEFFE's first composite
security surveillance camera. Based on Pixim's award winning Digital
Pixel System® (DPS) technology, CIEFFE's composite CamPX complements
their NETTUNO CamPX network surveillance camera with POE (Power over
Ethernet) capability.
Pixim's Orca chipset enables CIEFFE's CamPX to deliver excellent images
in both normal and wide dynamic range (WDR) scenes in any lighting
conditions, 24/7. Pixim's image consistency and accuracy overcomes
typical impediments of existing analog CCD technologies to provide
positive subject identification caused by variable lighting and limited
color accuracy.
Taking full advantage of Pixim's Orca chipset's DPS technology,
CIEFFE's composite CamPX delivers 720 x 540 pixel progressive scan
image capture with a global electronic shutter that minimizes motion
artifacts. The camera specifications include WDR of 120 dB, excellent
low light performance (0.5 lux in color), and high Signal-to-Noise
Ratio (SNR) even at high temperature. CIEFFE's CamPX independently
controls and manages the auto iris of the fitted lenses according to
the light condition of the selected scene.
Fabrizio Colciago, Technical Director of CIEFFE comments: "The success
of CIEFFE's Pixim chipset-enabled Nettuno CamPX IP-camera, introduced
last year, was so great that we decided to extend our Pixim offerings
with our first composite camera based on the same DPS technology.
Coupled with Pixim's chipset the CamPX provides extremely flexible and
scalable solutions for any type of CCTV installation requiring high
video quality"
John Monti, Pixim's Vice President of Marketing and Sales said: "We are
excited about CIEFFE's adoption of Pixim's technology. CIEFFE has
developed excellent solutions for the networked video surveillance
market, integrating advanced capabilities such as Pixim's DPS imaging
technology, now for both the composite and IP markets. CIEFFE's
expertise with complete network solutions will make the new
Pixim-enabled CamPX an even more valuable security camera offering"
