Ganz's first wide dynamic range security camera with Computar varifocal lens optimized for Pixim chipset
Pixim Inc, a provider of image sensors and processors for enterprise
security cameras, has announced that their Orca chipset was selected to
power GANZ's first wide dynamic range (WDR) indoor/outdoor vandal
resistant mini-dome camera series, the ZC-DW4039NHA and ZC-DWT4039NHA
for the US market and the ZC-DW4039PHA and ZC-DWT4039PHA for the
European Union and East Asian market.
CBC, a leading Japanese manufacturer and worldwide distributor of CCTV
solutions, will distribute the GANZ camera with its in-house Computar
varifocal lenses integrated.
John Monti, Pixim's vice president of marketing and business
development explains: "GANZ is recognized worldwide for its quality
products and its large market presence. Pixim is delighted to have
contributed to GANZ's first WDR dome security camera series and
Computar's varifocal lens optimized for Pixim chipsets. We look forward
to working with GANZ on its future WDR offerings"
GANZ's new Pixim-powered WDR (maximum 120 dB) cameras offer a number of
key advantages. The GANZ dome cameras feature Pixim's award-winning
Digital Pixel System® (DPS) technology that allows individual pixel
sampling to determine optimum exposure in all areas of the image. This
provides a balanced exposure of both bright and dark areas in the same
scene, making these cameras ideal for the toughest backlight problems.
Excellent image quality and color rendition in challenging lighting
conditions are ensured 24/7. The dome's digital day/night and frame
integration modes capitalize on Pixim's technology to achieve enhanced
low light performance.
Other features include a proprietary pan/tilt/rotation (3-axis) gimbal
mechanism for mounting the GANZ dome on any horizontal or vertical
surface, an optical quality distortion-free dome cover with black inner
liner, available with a weatherproof (IP66 rated) and impact and
scratch resistant polycarbonate bubble and Computar's powerful 3-9mm
varifocal, f/l.2 aperture lens with built in digital zoom.
Jim Holihan, Vice President of CBC (America) Corporation, GANZ
commented: "Understanding the growing demand for WDR dome cameras, we
were anxious to find a partner that would provide us with a proven
solution. Pixim leads the way in delivering outstanding image quality,
particularly in the toughest backlight conditions"
