Vista has released a new generation of vari-focal domes available in colour/mono, wide dynamic range (WDR) and UPT.
With a new four-inch diameter base, designed
to be more noticeable and create a greater impact, the domes come with
an auto-sensing dual voltage power supply (12V DC/24V AC) to increase
the number of applications they can be used for.
The newly
improved 3-axis gimble ensures, the makers say, that the domes achieve
the best image for the application and allows for a finer adjustment.
The
colour/mono range come with a 3-9mm direct drive lens which provides
colour images during the day and monochrome images at night. Different
finishes are available.
The WDR range uses the Pixim Orca
sensor which manages lighting extremes within the same scene to produce
clear and accurate images, according to the firm. This makes them
suitable it is claimed for internal applications where the scene
includes both internal and external light sources, such as in reception
areas and doorways.
The UTP option allows for balanced wide transmission on twisted pair cable and is NVT compatible.
The
domes come with a 750mm cable which will pass through walls and all
normal structures and has a snap-on, in-line terminal connector.
Greater flexibility the firm adds is also achieved as the domes have
been designed to accommodate mounting on solid and false ceiling or
walls.
“These ranges have been created to provide a more
complete solution catering to a wide range of applications,” says Mark
Pritchard, divisional director of Vista. “Matching dummy units are also
available to create the illusion of surveillance without incurring the
full cost of a working unit.”
