Genie's NEW Pixim-powered WDR (maximum 120dB) slim dome camera, the DSF120PX offers a number of key advantages to the installer
The DSF120PX features Pixim's award-winning Digital Pixel System® technology that allows individual pixel sampling to determine optimum exposure in all areas of the image.
This provides a balanced exposure of both bright and dark areas in the same scene, making these cameras ideal for the toughest backlight problems. Excellent image quality and colour rendition in challenging lighting conditions are ensured at all times. The slim dome's true day/night and frame integration modes capitalises on Pixim's technology to achieve enhanced low light performance.
Marketing Manager of Genie, Binit Shah reports: "Pixim's Digital Pixel System technology offers the widest dynamic range available, enabling Genie cameras to produce excellent image quality and colour rendering, regardless of the lighting conditions where the camera is located.
Binit Shah further adds: "The slim dome has been specially designed for demanding retail applications where facial and object recognition is necessary in a variety of light conditions such as doorways, windows, shadows and outdoors with strong light reflections"
Other features of this new dome include a tool-free 3 axis gimbal mechanism for mounting the dome on a wall, ceiling or on a slope, a 3.3-12mm DC auto iris varifocal lens, O.S.D. menu, digital slow shutter, RS485 communication and privacy masking for up to 6 zones.
John Monti, vice president of marketing and business development, Pixim said: "Too often, traditional cameras miss critical details. Pixim’s all-digital technology enables retailers to capture details of people and activities, even in variable and challenging lighting conditions, whether in parking lots, store aisles, checkout areas, or loading docks. In selecting our Digital Pixel System® technology for its slim dome camera, Genie signals its dedication to delivering its customers high quality, state-of-the-art video equipment"
